Tracing Marcellin Champagnat's Footsteps in Paris

On Tuesday, 30 March we visited the Church of Saint-Sulpice where Marcellin prayed during his visits to Paris, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal where Mary appeared three times to Catherine Laboure in 1830, the Foreign Missions Seminary where Marcellin stayed during his visits to Paris seeking legal authorisation for his fledgling Congregation and the Place of Fr Marcellin Champagnat near Passy, officially named on 24 October 1981.

Pilgrims pictured at Fr Marcellin Champagnat Place from left (click on the picture to enlarge): Caroline Murphy, Maria Windsor, Paul Herrick, Peter White, Robyn Eaton, Adrian Drane, Lyn Shields, Adrian Mitchell, Robyn White, Terri Driscoll, Shane Reid, Alannah Darmody, Mark Murphy (partly hidden), Andrew Balkwill, Carolyn Young, Br Michael Herry, Marie Dorrington, Di Grinbergs, Rob Crothers, Adriano Di Prato, Paul Hine and Gail Morgan. Front (crouched down): Br John McMahon and John Markota.

Hi John and pilgrims, glad to hear that you made the long haul safely. Have a great time there - many fond memories of the trip three years ago. Murph and Mitch, you need to be a bit less humble, too hard to see you in the photos!
Have a wonderful Easter. Peter Houlahan

Hello John and fellow pilgrims. Special hello to Rob and Di - and is that Mr Paul Herrick I see in the photo? Best wishes to everyone for a Happy Easter and a safe and rewarding pilgrimage.I have my album out at the moment reminiscing about the wonderful experience of Pigrimage 2007. Keep up our comments Rob, and I will compare notes!! Cherish every moment. (John, we had Sr Joan Smith over for breakfast this morning (Monday) and she was very grateful of the help you gave them recently).
Regards,
Des
