Our Conference Begins

The Fourth Biennial Marist Higher Education Conference began today, 5th October, 2010 at the Marist Pontifical University in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Approximately fifty delegates and academic staff from the local University attended the Conference Opening.
Rector, Br Joachim Clotet (pictured) spoke of the challenges facing the University in the 21st Century. He included: 1. the significance of the markets 2. the need for innovation 3. the importance of promoting the social use of knowledge 4. working together, and 5. ongoing education.
