Marist Tertiary and Online Committee 2011
Context
Marists around the world have a keen involvement in the Tertiary sector, particularly in Education. In some countries we have several Marist Universities. In Australia our involvement has been extensive and we hope to maintain this contribution in new ways. In addition, we are keen to link with our colleagues overseas to develop a more significant online presence.
Purpose
The role of our Marist Tertiary and Online Committee is to oversee the coordination and development of Marist Tertiary Programs in this country and to develop further links with Universities here and overseas. We have two initial aims for our Committee:
1. To develop a unified National Agreement with the Australian Catholic University for obtaining credit for Marist administred Formation Programs.
2. To develop new Online Marist Programs.
We hope this Committee will assist us with gaining accreditation for our programs and help us pursue the establishment and development of Marist Online Programs. In this area we can liaise with the Executive Committee of the Marist International Network of Institutes of Higher Education, of which I am a member.
